Irish Scones
Connacht Gold Softer Butter is an 82% fat product with added salt of 2%. It is more spreadable in comparison to traditional butter and is full of flavour & taste, ideal for baking, frying, cooking & spreading.

- 8 oz flour
- 4 fl oz Connacht Gold Milk
- 2 oz butter
- 1 oz caster sugar
- 1 oz demerara sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon (ground)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cooking apple (cubed)
In a large bowl, sift together the salt, cinnamon and flour. Using your hands, mix in the butter until a breadcrumb consistency. Add the apple cubes, sugar and demerara sugar while stirring. Make a well in the middle and pour in the milk. Mix until a soft doughy consistency. Remove from the bowl and place on a floured board. Knead the dough until smooth and without lumps. Roll into small circles about 1" thick and cut edges off with a pastry cutter. Place in an oven preheated to 400°F and bake for about 10 minutes or until browned off.
